C., May 5. —Sun- day morning a dcugbter of Brinkley Downing, the looe colored Demo crat of No. 13 township, accidtnt ly shot her mother and sister by striking a gnu with a broom with which she was sweeping. The gun. it is believed, was set in the corner cocked. On the evening before a drunken negro forced open the door of the bouse and old man Downing seized the gun and shot at him. The negro ran.
