Dear Sir: You are interested in the prosperity of your town. You can contribute to it materially, and give it a far nore prosperous look at the same thae. Devoe is all paint and full-measure ffctroe is the strongest paint known. Devoe will take care of the prop erty, in the long run, for half the money requited by any other. The reason is stated above: De- Toe fct all paint and full-measure: the strongest paint known. E D Jewell, Corry, Pa, painted trie house 5 years age with mixed paint; taok 14 gallons. Last spring he repainted 'with Devoe; bought (4 gallons and had 4 left. Saved fistos*o, for painting costs two on three time* as much as the paint. 40 Youu truly, F. W. Dxvox & Co. New York. P. S. Simpson Hdw Co. actt «H paint Rscky Meait Uses Hesrlly by a Fire Rocky Mount, N. C., March t Between midnight and day light this morning a large part of the business section of Rocky Monet was laid in ashes, involving a loss variously estimated at from $75,- 000 to SIOO,OOO. The fire company fought the flames bravely, bat was unable to check their progress until the town had suffered the wont loss it has ever experienced. t It was at 11 '.y> last night that fire broke out at the opera house, from which It spread rapidly, being fanned by a brisk wind. Among the building* destroyed are the Ma sonic temple, the Bank of Rocky Monnt, the opera house, the post office, the telephone exchange and • half dozen of the best sores in the town. |t is beleived that the fire was of incendiary orgin. There will be little interruption of business on account of the fire. Those having suffered losses are already getting ready to replace their buildings, and in the mean time they have made temporary arrangements to carry on business as heretofore. The bank has moved into the Savings Bank building. It's doors were opened for transaction of business this morning. An examination of the bank's vaults this morning showed that their contents were unharmed. The post office officials saved all fie mails and stock of postage stamps. Some of the merchants saved a considerable part of their stocks. Most of the losses are partly covered by insurance. MBmiri's tor SUnck The worn-out stomach of the over-fed zillionaire is often paraded in the public prints as a horrible example of the evils attendant on the possession of great wealth. But millionaires are not the only ones who are afflicted with bad stomachs. The proportion is far greater among the toilers. Dyspepsia and indiges tion are rampant among these peo ple, and they suffer tar worse tor tues than the millionaire unless they avail themselves of a standard medicine like Green's August Flower, which has been a favorite household remedy for all stomach troubles for over thirty-five years. August Flower rouses the torpid liver, thus creating appetite and in suring perfect digestion. It tones and vitalizes the entire system and makes life worth living, no matter what your station.
