Meadows, and fearing that the animal had rabies, it was killed by the police and the head forwarded to Raleigh for analysis. Tuesday, the pupils of the Episcopal Sunday School picniced at the big mill The morning was unpleasant and the occupants of several of the wagons rode through one heavy shower. But it cleared after a wfille and the little folks enjoyed bathing and wading. Godwin whose ship, the Rhode Island, is in Hampton Roads. W. L. Johnson and R. L. Tay lor, [of Robersonville, were in town Thursday and called at this office. J. M. Edmondson, of Everetts, was a pleasant caller Thursday. Nicholas Mobley, who has been visiting his mother here, left Sunday for Richmond.
