He has ac ceted a position with the State High way commissioh and will work on the Washington-Pantego road. Lieutenant Commander and Mrs. Donald C. Godwin and little daughter arrived Monday afternoon from Nor folk to visit his parents Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Godwin. Capt. and Mra. J. G. Elmore and children of Scotland Neck are visiting Mrs. Elmore's sister, Mrs. J. D. Biggs, and Dr. Biggs. Mrs. Andrew Pendleton and little daughter, Mary Jane, arrived yester day to visit Mr. and Mrs. C. H. God win. Mr. Alf Forbes has arrived in town ready to auctioneer for the Dixie warehouse this season. He has many friends who will be glad to learn that he will auctioneer for that house this year.
