Crawford Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The home in terior was made more attractive by a profusion of fall flowers. The was the first meeting of the club year, and a delightful hour was spent in conversation before the new books were distributed. Banana splits with wafers were served by the hostess. TWENTIETH CENTURY CLUB HOLDS FIRST MEETING At the home of Mrs. Oscar Ander son the first meeting of the Twentieth Century Club was held Wednesday af ternoon at four o'clock. There was no ] program scheduled for the meeting, and the business pertaining to the year's work was attended to. Mrs. Warren H. Biggs, president for the coming year, presided. Mrs. C-O. Pjirdo,. secretary, read the list of books for distribution and presented a list of subjects for study this year. Contemporary writers and their works was selected. A program committee was appointed, composed of Mrs. F. W. Hoyt, Mrs. K. B. Crawford, and Mrs. S. R. Biggs. Mrs. J. G. Godard was elected treas urer, Mrs. Delia L. Carson having re signed. The meeting was then turned over to the hostess, who served a delicious frozen salad with sandwiches, olives, celery, and tea. The next meeting will be held with Mrs. F. U. Barnes on September 30th.
