Stubbs at her home in the Tar Heel Apartments last Thursday afternoon. Mrs. J. H. Saunders made high score for the club and Mrs. F. U. Barnes for the visitors. They were present ed attractive gifts. The hostess served a delicious froz en salad with sandwiches and tea at the end of the games. When they arrived much merriment was caused fay .the, grown-ups dressed iij short skirts with bloomers and in short pants. There were all types of kiddies represented, from the Mary Pickford type to the modern jaunty and up-to-date kids seen so much now adays. Miss I.izette Williamson re ceived first prize and Miss Carrie Dell White second, and they were given a doll baby and whistle, respectively. -GMMpen'«~gamc4 were played and all day suckers served during the even ing.
