Local and Personal Mr. and Mrs. Roy Keel and children of Gold Point, were visitors in the city yesterday. Mr. W. E. Manning, of Hardisons Mill, was in town yesterday. Misses Evelyn Harrison and Chris tine Dodd will arrive Saturday to »pend the week end with their par ents here. Mr. W. A. Cherry, who was been in the Washington Hospital for an operation, has returned to hit home. He was accompanied by Mrs. Cherry. Mrs. W. H. Lilley, of Jamesville, Mrs. K. B. Crawford, Mrs. H. M. Stubbs, and Mrs. P. H. Brown spent Wednesday with friends in Greenville. Mr. Reginald Burrell, of Richmond and Murfreesboro, was a visitor here yeeterdajr. ( Mr. and Mrs. Eli Gurganus and their granddaughter, Miss Bonner Gurganuq, are spending a few days, in Norfolk. Mrs. J. R. Bullock and Miss Nancy Bullock, of Everetts, spent Wednes day with friends here. Miss Lizette Williamson, who has been visiting her aunt, Mrs. W. J. Hodges, and Miss Margaret Everett, has returned to her home in Norfolk. Messrs. W. T. Baker and Geo. N. Gurganus attended the Rocky Mount Fair yesterday. J. B. Pope will be glad to know that he is gradually re cuperating at his home on Haughton Street. Mr. Pope has been seriously ill for some time.
