Washington Hospital. Mrs. Mobley
recently underwent an operation for
appendicitis, and her friends will be
glad to know that she is almost en
tirely recovered.
Mr. Harry W. Stubbs spent Sunday
night in Washington.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Timberiake and
little daughter, Susan, spent the week
end with relatives in LaGrange.
Mr. James Bell, of Aurora, visitad
friends in the city during the week

Mr. Thurman Cowper, of Raleigh,
visited his grandmother, Mrs. Jennie
Moore for several days. Mr. Cowper
is associated with the Maryland Life
Insurance Co., of which company his
father, Mr. B. T. Cowper, is State
agent
Mr. Howell Wadsworth, of Kew
Bern, motored here yesterday with
several barns of tobacco. His sale
was highly satisfactory and he was
very cotnplimentaly to the William
aton market. While here he was a
guest of his sister, Mrs. J. W. Watts,!
