In compliance with the wishes of a
petition signed "by a necessary num
ber of qualified voters of Powell school

district, which was duly approved by
the board of education of Martin
County, and in accordance with the
provisions of Article 1 of the new
School Code of 1925
Notice is hereby given that the elec
tion will be held at Old Powell School
house, in Powell School District, on
the 16th day of November, 1926, in
mid Powell School District, which is
described hereinafter, for the purpose
of ascertaining the will of the ,yuali
field voters of said district as to
whether a majority of such voters fa
vor the levying and collecting annu
ally of a special tax with which to
supplement the funds for six months
public school appropriated by the
board of education, and annexation of
Powell School District to Gold Point
school district, the rate of said special
tax not to exceed a maximum of 30
cents on the SIOO valuation of all
property, real and personal, within the
bounds of the district, described as
follows:
"Beginning in Huskanaw Swamp at
the Thos. Norwood line; thence down
Hu ikanaw Swamp to fork of Huska-
,iiw and Ross Swamps; thence up the
Koss Swamp to H. A. Johnson line;
thence with H. A. Johnson and Arden
Everett line to Thos. Norwood line;
thence with Thos. Norwood line to the
beginning."
