Friends of Mrs. Graydon Preddy

When we gave the name of the lit
tle son of Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Parker,
who was born last Thursday, as W.
K., jr., we made a mistake. The lit
tle fellow is named for his grand
fathers, Burke Henry; Burke for Dr.
Knight, and Henry for his paternal
grandfather.

At the home of her mother, Mrs.

Brown celebrated her tenth birthday

Upon their arrival the guests were
| served punch by Mrs. Brown, and
then they played games and enjoyed
themselves for two hours, when wa
termelons were cut and the little folks
enjoyed a feast.
The young hostess received many
pretty presents from her numerous
friends. She is one or the most be
loved children of the town. Her sweet
and sunny disposition has endeared
hjr to the children of the town, both
little and big, as well as the older
people with whom she comes in con
tact.

With Dinner Party Wednesday
At their home in Now Town, Mr.
and Mrs. W. B. Watts were hosts at
a dinner party in honqr of Mrs. Watts
tWenty-ninth birthday Wednesday
evening. The home was attractively
decorated with summer flowers and
especially the dining-room table,
where the birthday cake was the can
ter of attraction. The guests for din
ner were Misses Martha Homthal, of
Plymouth, Mrs. Z. T. Lyons, of Ay
den, J. W. Watts, Jr., and R. W. Small
of Washington.
A number of friends of Mrs. Watts,
who is extremely popular aatang the
younger social set, called doting the
evening to wish her mafty more hap
py birthdays.
