Good-by Sunday
We are now confronted with a court
action to legalize Sunday baseball.
Already the fishing reel is used in
high places, even though the law says
you shall not fish in North Carolina
on Sunday.

Does Easterp North Carolina need
half a million new citizens to move

Being strictly an agricultural sec

home-town markets or be run out of
the peach field by -Georgia, Delaware,

It is admitted that the tobacco sup

acres would glut the market; and of
course everybody knows we are rais
ing too much cotton.
Then who would we get if a half

would they be worse? It could scarce

we did 20 years ago. If we had an

It may be that the cry for a large
influx of immigrants to eastern Car

more and larger things than a real

found the purest in the Anglo-Saxon
race. If we bring another half mil
