Meetiac of McDowell Music
Club, at Roberaonville
Roberson ville, Oct 26.—(Special to
Ihe Enterprise.)— The McDowell Mu
sic Club met with Mrs. C. L. Wilson
Friday afternoon, October 22. The
meeting was called to order by the
president, the roll called, and the ndn-,
utea read and adopted.
Then the usual routine of business
was dispensed with.
The club was very highly honored
in having as a guest the Rev. Stephen
Gardner, of Washington, a gifted
singer. He made a brief explanation
of the three musical concerts to be
given in Washington this fall for the
purpose of developing a higher ap
preciation of good music, the proceeds
oi which will go for the erection of
a parish house. The building will al
so serve as a community building.

OF TAXES
The tax books of the Town of William
ston are now open. A discount of one per
cent will be given on all taxes paid in the
months of October and November. On all
taxes paid during the month of January,
after the first tlay of that month, a penalty
of one per cent per month shall be charged.
On all taxes paid during the month of Feb
ruary, after the first day of that month, a
penalty of two per cent shall be added. On
all taxes paid after the month of February,
an additional penalty of one per cent for
each additional month of delay in settle
ment shall be charged.
