GORMAN'S MARKET REPORT Gorman's has first sale Monday, Second sale Tuesday, First sale Wednesday, no sale Thursday, and Second sale Friday. The sales all finished each day last week around 4 o'clock, Up to Thursday night, GORMAN'S sold 519,000 pounds. Prices on fine and good-bodied tobacco up to thirty one or two have sold with us as good as any time this season. The thin puttery above 33 has been from 2to 5 cents lower than two weeks ago, but on Wednesday new orders and instructions came on and then tobacco sold much better. Our Thursday's sale 174,482 pounds sold for $59,097.50, which averaged near 34 cents. Our customers with very few exceptions have all re ceived more than they had expected. Many who had not been selling at Gormans told us they had heard "tobacco was off," but theirs was the best sale they had made this season. It takes judgment and nerve to back this judgment to get the value, and we have both. We never try to deceive or make statements that can not be prov ed. Come, see us run a sale. "Seeing is believing," and we believe we will sell the balance of your crop. Below we give a few sales made Thursday: J. H. HARDflf—ll9 at 44—11* at 44 H at 50—140 at M—l 44 at 44—222 at «0-> W. C.
