Leggett. A. J. Summeriin has returned from Park View Hospital, Rocky Mount, where he was for several weeks re cuperating from a very serious op eration for appendicitis. Miss Eva Peel, of Robersonville, spent the week end here. Wilson G. Lamb came in for the week end. Mr. Lamb has been mak ing a last visit to his customers in North Carolina before the year ends. Britt left Monday for Tarboro, where he will undergo an operation in a Tarboro hospital. Mr. and MrsL F. L. Edwards were here yesterday morning. Mr. Edwards has been in Kinston for several days at the bidside of his father, who has been critically ill. Messrs. John Hines and Ben Wors ley, of Oak City, were business vis itors here Saturday. Misses Orpah Steed and Ramsey .spent the week end in Raleigh. Mr. Paul Edmondson, of Hassells, was a visitor on the local tobacco market yesterday. Mrs. J. G. Staton left yesterday for Jacksonville, Fla., where she will at tend the southern convention of the Episcopal Church. Norwood High smith, who just last Friday week was so active in school, must now be mourned for by his fellow classmates and teachers.
