Club Meeting Tuesday
Robersonville, Dec. 16.—(Special to
The Enterprise.*—The Woman's Club
of Robcrsonvilld held its regular
monthly meeting in the domestic
science room of the school building on
Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 14, with the
American Home Department in charge
of the program. The room was very
attractive in Christmas decorations.
There was a large representation
of the members present, even though
the weather was unfavorable.
After the reports of the various
committees and business, Miss Mur
ray. the home economic teacher, gave
a", very interesting demonstration in
inexpensive Christmas gift making.
These gifts were mo-t I and
glassware beautified by the use of
waterproof paints and designs paint
ed on.
There were 25 filled Christmas
stocking- to be sent to the soldiers
at Oteen carried in.
The club adjourned to meet in the
school auditorium January 11, with
the music department in charge of
the program.

dicating the negro's guilt.
While the man wa convicted on cir-
cumstantial evidence, the case pre
sented the most complete proof of any
ever tried in the State. The defend
ant offered no explanation whatever
for the deed, but sal motionless thru
out the trial, knowing well that "his
life was limited.
Ltazemore's father had I'aul Friz
selle, of Snow Mill to defend his on,
'i)ut no witnesses were placed on the
stand in his son's behalf. The State
was represented by Solicitor Davis, of
New Hern.
The murder took place on the morn
ing of November 5, when Hazelnore
and the boy were on their way to
Wilson with a load of tobacco. It
has been described as one of the moat
1 rutal murders ever committed in
this part of the State.
Gordon Yelverton, a seventeen
year-old boy, was making his home
here with his uncle,-Mr. H. Rose,
rnd was working for him when he
was killed.
