Pardo motored to Sanford Wednesday and returned Fri day accompanied by Mrs. Pardo and Jimmy, who have been visiting Mr. Pardo's parents for several weeks. Misses Laura Orleans and Emma Bell Harris, students at North Caro lina College for Women, at Greens boro, will arrive home Wednesday evening for the holidays. They will be met in Rocky Mount by Messrs. Buddy and Solly Orleans. Miss Margaret Manning, who is in the same school, will arrive Thursday morning. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Harrison and duughterV Beck, Katherine, and Blanche spent yesterday at Mrs. An derson's near Leggetts. Her brother, Dr. Speight Anderson, of Baltimore, is visiting there; Mrs Richard Askew, of Windsor, was a shopper here Saturday. Mi.-* Carrie Lee Peel, of East Car olina Teachers' College, Greenville, will arrive Wednesday to spend the holidays with her parents, Mr* and Mis. R. J. Peel. William Hodges, Benjamin Court ney and Fred Taylor have arrived from Wake Forest College to spend the Christmas vacation period with their people. Mr. and Mr>. Dave Daniel, and Mr. Matt Bissell, of Griffins Township, were' shoppers here Saturday. Miss Evelyn Harrison will arrive Wednesday from Louisburg College to .spend Christmas at home. Bill Harrison will come home from Duke University on that same date to be here for the holidays. He will have as his guest during the Christmas sea *on his cousin, Jimmie Harrison, of Daytona, Fla., who is a student at State College. Mr. Wilson G.
