We are familiar with the truism
> that Rome was not built in a day.
The heme economics department be
lieves that good cooks are neither
born nor developed in a day. In ac
cordance with this idea this depart
ment requires that each home eco
nomics girl prepare at home every
dish in the laboratory. Not only does
the student give a written report of
this home work, but the mothers are
also asked to place on this writtan
report the grade which they consider
the girl should on order of j
work as well as on the dish prepar
, ed. Through this means added op
portunity and training are given to
the girls to become more thoroughly
grounded in principles of good prepar
ation as well as to put into practice
seme of their school work.
