BILIOUS FEVEB AND MALARIA It Killa the Germs Spring Modes in the Larger Sizes May Be Chosen Here With Discrimination Circular drapes, jabots, and clusters of pleats are some of the smart ways in which a graceful sense of movement is given to these frocks. Embroidery in colors or in metal lends an enliven ing touch to many of the afternoon modes. In coats, the simple straight-line styles in navy blue, monkey skin, and the wood colors are exceedingly smart. Interest and variation are added by the use of folds and stitching, fur trim i ming and degrade shadings. All of these garments are carefully selected for their slenderizing and well-groomed lines. » % •• • '• * , DRESSES SUITS - COATS HATS - GLOVES —NEGLI - GEES ACCESSORIES i f . -' ■ ■ ■ _ } • * C. SALE OF VALUABLE FAKM PROPERTY Under and by virtue of the author ity conferred upon us in a deed of trust, executed by J. W. H. Coburn, and wife Lid is Coburn, on the Ist day of December 1922, and recorded in book 0-2, page 11 and 12, Martin County, we will on Saturday the 26th day of March, 19tl, at 12 o'clock, noon at the courthouse door in Wil-I liamston, N. He is Giovanni Martinelli, the great singer-actor of the Metropoli tan whose voice will be heard in re cital at the Eastern Carolina Exposi tion, Rocky Mount, April 4th, at 8.30 p. m. Martinelli is, in fact, a late discovered genius. Like Harold liauer, who thought he was destined to be a violinist until he was turned by cir cumstances to the piano, Martinelli thought that his musical talent, if any, were for wind instruments. He was an accomplished player on the humble clarinet, and the mere accident that a judge of voices was passing his win dow one night when he was Hinging an aria from "La Tosca" made him use hii voice for the pleasure of the ' whole world. A clarinet player, however, seldom is ranked as a child prodigy, and Mar- j tinelli was brought up in the ordinary j fashion of all country children in rural Italy. His rugged figure now is the result of this simple life, and his variety of interests, his ability of talk' of othor things besides his music and hiia*olfr.h£ being a complete human being and good citizen, in short, are all due to the fact that no fuss was nuule over him when he was a child. Martinelli has two children and j swears that if they have any talent j for music he will see to It that the • talent is developed. But he swears j with even more intensity that no sin gle talent is going to be played up to the detriment of his children's health or diversity of interests. According te Martinelli, a musician of any sort ought to be interested in everything except music for a long time in order to be a great interpreter of the thoughts and feelings of humanity.
