Fowdenispent yesterday in Ra leigh attending an insurance meeting. Miss Evelyn Harrison arrived yes terday afternoon from Louisburg Col lege to spend the spring holiday with het* parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Har rison. She was met by her father in Rocky Mount. Mrs. Clyde Anderson and little daughter left yesterday for their home at Tarboro after spending some time here with her mother, Mrs. J. H. Britt who Is convalescing from a recent ill ness. Irving Beul and Pat Peters, of Franklin, Vs., were guests of friends here this week. John L Rodgeraon and J. W. Watts, jr., ,will return to night from Char lotte, where they have been on a bus iness trip. Miss Christine Lincke, of Nashville, v/ho has been visiting her sister, Miss Emily Lincke, returned to her home Wednesday. She was accompanied by her sister and Mis* Laura Norton and A. Hassell, jr. Misses Laura Orleans, Emma Bell Harris, and Margaret Manning ar rived last night from Greensboro, where they are students at North Car olina College for Women. They 'were met in Rocky Mount by Messrs. Wal-I ter and Solly Orleans. Jesse Horton, of PlymouWl, was vis iting with his friends here yesterday. George Gurganus, of Norfolk, was in town Thursday. Cone and Mrs. Anna Harrison left this morning for Rocky Mount, where Mrs. Cone will hive on operation for the lemoval of Iter tonsils. Dr. Cone will return to night. W. C. Dudley, cashier of the Sea board National Bank, of Norfolk, was a visitor here Wednesday. FARM LIFE CLASSES HAVE BANQUET— The junior and senior classes of the Farm Life school gave a banquet Wednesday evening, March 23, pre liminary to their commencement ac tivities.
