Marriage licenses Issued in March Marriage permits for the month of March underwent a big drop from the number issued in February. Register of Deeds J. Sam Getsinger sold thir teen of the liceneses for the county during the month, seven of the thir teeen going to white couples and six to colored pairs. During the month of February there were 22 permits granted by the register of deeds, and of the 22, 15 went to colored couples. In March, while the number issued to colored couples decreased consider ably from those issued in February, the whites held their number the same as it was the previous month. Two objections were filed in the previous month and one in March, the three be ing made by white parents. The list follows: White Lander A.
