Henry Hardison, of Rocky Mount,
visited relatives here Satarday.
Mrs. C. B. Harrison and little daugh

from Pactolus, after visiting her par
ents for several days.
Mrs. Jim Stanley and little Betsy
Grimes spent the week end with rela
tives in Washington.
Miss Janie Freeman, of Wilson, has
** arrived to spend a month with her
sister, Mrs. P. B. Cone, and Dr. Cone
at their home on Church Street.
Miss Emma Robertson, of Greens
boro, will arrive this week end to
spend Easter with her mother, Mrs.
J. L Robertson.
Miss Louise Crawford, of Maceles
field t spent the week end with her
. mother, Mrs. Fannie Crawford.
Corporal G.-K. Glenn, U. S. Marine
Corps, left yesterday to rejoin tiie
Sixth regiment of Marines, which is
now en route to China, after spend
ing a week with his mother here. Ho
had just returned from a six-months
stay in Nicaragua when he was as
signed to. the 3rd Machine Gun Batal
lion of the Sixth Regiment, and that
organization has just recently been
ordered to duty in China.
Mrs. Earl Wynne returned Friday
from Norfolk, where she visited her
aunt, Mrs. George Roberson,
Mrs. Delia Manning and sons, W.
D and Stephen, and grandson, Julius,
were shoppers here Saturday.
Misses Elizabeth, Virginia, and
Hennie Hall, Lizette and Alice Wil
liamson, and Mrs. Eloise Horn Baker,
who have been visiting Mrs. W. J.
Hodges and Miss Margaret Eevertt,
returned to their home at Norfolk
Sunday. f
Mrs. J. L. Robertson returned yes
terday after spending several days
with her sister, Mrs. Belle Godard, in
Dunn.
Among those from Martin County
who have been in thf Washington
Hospital recently are Arthur Rober
son, Mrs. A. Roberson, Mrs. Perlie
Roberson, Mrs. P. Me Manning, and
Mr. J. W. Allen. Some have recovered
sufficiently to return to their homes
and the others are recuperating rapid

the Easter holidays at their homes.

the funeral of their uncle, Mr. Theo
