Organizes New Heme Demonstration Club On April 2nd, at Williams Chapel, Miss Anna Trentham organized a home demonstration club. The fol lowing officers were elected: Mrs. A. M. Perry, president; Miss Hattie Ev erett, vice president; Miss Annie Har rington, secretary; and Miss Margar et Everett, reporter. The organization decided to call it self "The Williams Chapel Home Dem onstration Club." The business meet ing over, Miss Trentham discussed •—with 'the club ways and means for farm women to make money. After wards the club adjourned to meet a gain April 9 at the home of Mrs. seph Early. At the meeting on the 9th there was a very enthusiastic gathering, for Miss Trentham demonstrated her steam-pressure cooker. She cooked chicken, carrots, navy beans, sweet potatoes, and onions at the time in the cooker, for 45 minutes, and they all came out well, done. Even the rooster, which was so old that no one knew his birthday, came out quite Under. Everyone tasted the foods j cooked, and at the same time asked questions, admired and praised the work of the cooker. After this a short business meeting was held and plans for the future work of the club were discussed. At this meeting a number of new mem- j hers were enrolled. It was decided i that the next meeting would be given over to a better-homes program, j which had already been partially! planned.
