Frigidaire Now Selling
At Lowest Cost Ever
General Motors' rapid progress in
forcing liown production costs and
lessening- the price of electric re
frigeration to the customer is il
lustrated by a recent announcement
of a new Frigidaire, selling at the
lowest price in the history of the
business, according to>o. S. Anderson
and company, local representative.
"By building the compressor and
cooling coils as one unit, it is possible
to offer the new model at a new low
price", said Mr. Anderson. "The new
model is a genuine Frigidaire in every
respect. It can be sold for less money
simply because it can be built for less
money.
"Tendency to decrease the price oj
Frigidaires and increase their use i»
very marked, when considered in con
nection with the growth of the auto
mobile industry.'Five years after au
tomobiles were first built there were
but 21,682 in use. Five years after
Frigidaires were first built there were
several times that number in use.
They are now being built at the rate
of 2000 a day.
Four Frigidaires a minute are now
being- turned out in the plants of
Frigidaire Corporation at Dayton,
Ohio, according to information .re
ceived by the local dealer. This is a
production of 2000 units a day, which
t; xes the capacity of the factories,
recently enlarged through a $20,000,-
000 expansion program.
"It has been estimated by Alfred
P. Sloan, president of General Motors
that four out of five electric .refriger
o.ors now being installed are hrigi
raides," said Mr. Anderson. "Tliis
M subsidiary now ranks second in the
General Motors group in unit sales,
an illustration of the overwhelming
acceptance which has been accorded
electric refrigeration by housewives
if America. ,
"Carrying out its policy of larger
sales and lower prices, Frigidaire
recently announced a new household
n.odel, selling ut the lowest price in
\ the history of the business, and de
signed to appeal to hundreds ot
thousands who have been awaiting a
Frigidaire of standard i|uality, selling
al a popular price.
"The amazing growth of Frigidaire
sales, which are reaching twice their
1!'26 volume, reflects the conveienee
and dependability of Frigidaire.

GUM-DIPPED TIRES
[This Year Compared With Same Porlod Last Yoar]
THE demand from car owners for Gum-Dipped Tires has given Firestone
Dealers a large increase in volume enabling them to sell these tires to you
at the lowest prices in history.
On the cars of motorists everywhere, these wonderful tire* are delivering
unheard-of long mileage with greater safety and comfort.
The Firestone Balloon Tread, scientifically designed three years ago, and un
changed today, follows the contour of the tire carcass with no excess rubber at
the edges to cause "shoulder breaks". Narrow rider strips permit the tread to yield
_ to depressions and cling to the road, preventing
