SYNOPSIS OF THE PLAY
Eiia Mac Whackh-, the Pickle King of North America, has a beautiful daughter,
Eleanoi, and in order to separate her from Bob Hunter, her long-time lover, sails away
to San Salvador for another ship toad of pickles, but Bob ships as a stow-away arvd
turns up at destination.
Don Alphonso, a Spanish Noble, Ruler of San Salvador, in honor of the Pickle King,
is giving a festival Bull Fight, but can find no one brave enough to face El Toro, the
bull ol fighting iaine, since El Toro has already killed seven men in the arena, they all
fear him and the Liuon threatens a strike. Don Alphonso offers a reward of SIO,OOO
to the man who will conquer El Toro in the arena. Mac has previously told Bob he
might marry Eleanor just as soon as he (Bob) could raise SIO,OOO on his own effort.
B;b, on the earnest solicitation of lus two friend® and college chums, offers ijm
self as a ♦orondor, to fight El Toro. Not knowing the fighting game, Bob studies up
the day before the fight and is prepared to enter the arena, but just because he (Bob)
does not boloirr to the- Bullfighter's Union n strike is called for allowing a non-union
man to enter the lists.
The rendition of tlje play will have to be witnessed to know properly and fittingly
just hew a combination of circumstances brought about the possibility for Bob and
Eleyr or to "l.lvc H: pp-ly Ever After."
