MEAT
BUILDS
Strength
Meat is a necessity always—but especially so during the cool
days of autumn. Begin now to build up resistance to winter
hazards. Meat quickly--supplies warmth and nourishment. Your
body needs it.
Fresh meats —that are appetizing, wholesole, and satisfying—
are always to be fywnd here. The very best cuts at the lowest
prices. We invite your comparison, confident that you will find
Roberson's Market unequalled for quality, economy, and serv
ice.

HOW TO MEASURE THE MIND
OF THE HEAD OF THE HOUSE
Centuries ago tooth and fang ruled the land.
Every man, back against his cave wall,
fought and died . . . Then cooperation,
tribes, villages, and nations
SI.OWLY men learned that individual risk and danger may be
shared by a laVge group to the advantage of every one concerned.
The first real effort at economic cooperation sua reded w hen
at a coffee house in London a number of men agreed to share
the loss of a ship owner if%is ship and caVgo were lost at sea.
The plan was a good deal of a gamble, but out of it grew experi
ence and statistics that are the basis of the scientific marine in
surance of today.
The dire necessity for some plan that would enable men to
provide funds for their loved ones, regardless of when the head
of the house might die, caused thinking men to get together and
formulate the plan of life insurance, under which the risk of the
individual is borne by all the policyholders in a company.
The first life insurance policy was issued to William Gibbons
in London, May 24, 1584—342 years ago. It was almost as
primitive as the first marine policy, but out-of it has grown the
Hfe insurance system of today, a system that is as scientific as
banking and economics.

Present-day smokers find their
sheerest enjoyment in Camels t££L-jfiuSttL__
THB people of this age spend million# for the good things — a
of life. And they place Camel first among cigarettes. /-J JTI
Modern smokers make money, but when they spend it
they insist on quality, and more people today buy Camels
than ever bought any other cigatfette.
Camel value has won the modern world. Money cannot r
buy choicer tobaccos, nor a more glorious blending. That's j. a
why increasing millions in the modern age single out this I s|l
famous smoke as their favorite. You, too, will find it \
