Ta- Imalpais High School, in Mill Valley, Calif. The authorities fully realized the im portance of their decision on the school's work in musical instruction, for the excellence of which Mt. Ta malpais enjoys a widespread reputation. Hie' borad determined that neither personal preference nor hearsay evi dence should influence their choice. Recognizing; the power of well-known names,, frequently to color an individ ual's- judgment, they resolved to make -attest of instruments which should he nameless to the liearer*. Accordingly, makers of the .foremost jinusk-reproducing instruments were in \ ited to send samples of their products to the school for a comparative test. I be various instruments were assem bled. concealed completely behind cur tains, and identified to the hearers o'n \ly by number. - This arrangement guaranteed a choice which was entirely impartial the decision being made solely on the j evidence which reached the hearer's cars. ■ ... « The decision was not based oil one 'comparison, but seven.' After seven [complete comparisons of the entire Igr.oup, the unanimous opinion was hi [favor of instrument number, five as giving the nfost perfect tonal reproduc tion; while second choice favored in strument number ttwo. Tile results arc of interest to every music lover. Instrument number five proved to be the new Edisoilic playing Edison records, while instrument number two revealed- itself as the new Edisoilic equipped Willi an attachment playing needle.type records. »As the local Ediyin 'dealer remarked | when told ol this test, "A sweeping| victory, and no wonder, I lie interest I already displayed in the hew Edisouic j in this vicinity Convinces lis that Mr. | Ellison has achieved the ultimate in' music-reproducing instruments Every day more people are asking to hear, 'close-up' music." the terms and conditions in said deed j ol trust not having been compile I with .111(1 at the request of the bolder of j said note the undersigned trustee will, |- on Monday, the 12th day 01-December I To Cure a Cold in One D^y/j^ Take"* fLaxative I Bromo J \Quininejf ' & The lonic unci luxfitive effort of latxutiv(> HKOM > (.JUINIMO 'l'uUtatfl will t'orlJy liiu kvhlviii r,gamut Influent and other Ht*riyuH lit* itMuli .n* trout a I old, hut 3vf.
