R., Flemming and sons, Charles and John, left yester day for Washington, where they will make their home in the future. FLEMING Baraca Class of Baptist Church Honors Depart ing Member C- The Baraca Class of the Baptist Church gave a farewell party to Mr. Charles R. Fleming last Tuesday evening in the rooms of the Woman's Club. Mr. Fleming has been a loyal member of the class for many years, and his leaving is much regretted by the class and its members. A large number attended the dinner, and wished Mr. Fleming much success in his new business at Washington. 20TH CENTURY CLUB MEETING Mrs. N. C. Green Is Hostess At Regular Meeting Wednesday The Twentieth Century Club held its regular meeting with Mrs. N. C. Green on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30. The program for the afternoon was on the general subject, "Germany," and Mrs. J. S. Rhodes had the paper for the afternoon. It was on the German people and was\ery inter esting.. Mrs. C. A. Harrison had a reading, "From Berlin to Mecklen burg." Mrs. W. K. Parker apd MrS. Wheeler Martin played a duet, and Mrs. J. Yfj Manning had current events. There were no social guests for the afternoon, and the hostess served a salad course, consisting of thicken salad, sandwiches, pickles, and hot tea. »' Visits Friends Here This Week Billy Thompson, of Greensboro, visited friends here this week.
