Thursday
On Friday tyght, at her home on
Church Street, Mrs. F. U. Barnes
was hostess to her own card club
and the Thursday Afternoon Club.
There were four tables of bridge.
Mrs. J. G. Godard made high score
for her club and Mrs. P. H. Brown
for the other, and both were given
lovely hand-made curtains as prizes.
Oyster cocktail, sandwiches, cheese
straws, pickles, wafers, coffee, and
salted nuts were served after four
progressions were made.

Rules Governing Rental
Of Woman's Club Rooms
1. The rental charge of the club
rooms shall be $5.00 until further no
tice.
2. jAII parties conducted at the club
rooms must begin at an early hour,
not later than 9, and the club rooms
[must be vacated by 1 o'clock.
3. Parties who rent the club rooms
shall be held responsible for leaving
the rooms in good condition, and
when the rooms are rented on Tues
day evening, they must be cleaned
and in good condition by 10 o'clock
on Wednesday morning.
4. Persons desiring to rent the club
rooms must make application to the
rental committee one week before the
time they desire to use them.
5. When dances are conducted at
the club rooms, there will be no inter
mission, and no one will be permitted j
to leave the rooms and return. This J
applies to alf guests.
6. All dances held in the club
rooms must have four chaperones.
The hostess will be held tpsponsible
for the conduct of her guests.
7. If any one is found to be intoxi
cated while in the club rooms, that
person shall be asked to withdraw
There must positively be no serving
of intoxicating drinks at any time in
the" club rooms.
Rule No. 6 was added to the rules
at a meeting of the executive commit
i tee in March, 1927. No. 4 was add
ed in December, 1927.
