The prices have been fair, and the market has beea blocked three days of this week with a large percentage of the tobacco damaged. This, of course, slowed the sales and cut the average considerably. However, most of the growers left the market satisfied. " *. • The block is now sold off and we are looking for better tobacco and better prices next week, and on through the rest of the season. We would advise that all farmers and growers sell their tips at once or as soon as possible and not be too hasty in bringing their better grades. - V . w> especially urge that you sell tobacco damaged on damaged rows and not in with the sound tobaccos. It slows the V . sale and hurts the sale of your good tobacco. * ~~ The Williamston Tobacco market has more buyers than ever before in its history/ Three new buyers came on the market this week, which, of course, makes the market Stronger. Several thousand pounds of tobacco have been sold here from the State Virginia and other points from a long distance; all parties of which were satisfied. • A - - > . • \ % ; /•' • , .
