Slade went to Richmond last AK"'ednesday and re turned Friday. Mrs. Bernice Bassett, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs, S. E. Ewell, for some time. ha)s returned to her home in Norfolk. Mr. and Mrs. P. L. Salsbury spent Sunday in Raleigh with their daugh ter, Martha, who is attending Mere dith College there. Mrs. T. B. Slade, sr., left last Wed nesday for Macon, Ga., where she will make her home. Mrs. R. T. Flowers and Miss Ruth Pippen left Wednesday for Suffolk, Ya", and Norfolk, where they will vis it relatives. They, expect to return Fri day. Mr. and Mrs. Win Beach returned 1 last Friday after an extended wedding 1 tour. Mrs. R. W.
