J PEEL, 018 4tw Clerk Superior Court. THE ENTERPRISE Twentieth Century Club Holds Regular Meeting The regular meeting of the Twen tieth Century Club was held on Wednesday afternoon with Mrs. J. G. Godard, jr., as hostess. The home was prettily decorated with autumn flowers and leaves, yellow and orange dahlias and chrysanthemums being attractively arranged in the two liv ing rooms and hall. The program subject for the meet ing was "World Peace," and Mrs. El bert S. Peel had the first paper "Three Methods Toward Securing World "Peace, Preparation for De fense, Limitation of Armaments, and Renunciation as Embodied in the Kel logg Peace Treaty." This was fol lowed by a paper, "Women in World Peace," by Mrs. S. R. Biggs, and current events were read by Mrs. C. A. Harrison. The hostess, assisted by Mrs. F. W. Hoyt, served fruit salad, cake, malaga grapes, and salted mints aft er the program was concluded. Special guests of Mrs. Godard were Mesdames Jim King, Tom Brandon, J. G. Staton, B. W. Hardy, W. C. Manning, jr., Milton Moye, and Coleyj Miss Mary Smith, and Mrs. Ed Pascoe, of Birmingham, Ala., Miss Net Barnes and Mrs. Emma Stevenson, of Pocomoke City, Md. Entertaips in Honor of Mrs. Richard T. Parson Wednesday evening, October 23, Mrs. A. L. Potter entertained with a card party honoring her daughter,' Mrs. Richard T. Farson, on her birth day. Several Williamston friends and out-of-town guests were present, in cluding Mrs. Parson's sister and btother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Blanks, of Asheville.
