Dickey has returned from Shelby, where he has been this week attending the State Baptist convention. . In Town Yesterday Kenly McGee, of Rocky Mount, was in town yesterday. Leave for Rocky Mount Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Liverman and sons, Billy and Hibbel, left Wednes day for Rocky Mount, where they will make their home in the future. They have many friends here who re gret that they have decided to change their residence. Mr. Liverman will be connected with a wholesale firm as traveling salesman, with head quarters in Rocky Mount. Leave for Rick Square Dr. and Mrs. 0. P. FitzGerald and little daughter, Fern, left this after noon fo Rich Square, where they will be for the next year. The FitzGer alds have been here for two years, and the people of Williamston regret to see them go. He was transferred at the last conference. Visiting Mrs. Hunter Mr. and Mrs. W. J. He has as his guests, Jack Taylor, of Florida, and Arthur Griffin, of New Jersey. All three of the boys are now associated with the Chase National Bank, of New York City. Return From Norfolk Judge and Mrs. Clayton Moore returned tonight from Norfolk, where they went for the judge to have an examination. For the past few weeks his health has not been up to the standard, and for that reason he has not been able to complete several terms of court that he has begun. While there they were the guests of his nephew, Dr. W. H. Harrell, U. S. N., and his sister, Miss Sarah Har- I rell, on Westover Avenue. In Town Yesterday Johnnie O'Brien, of Wilson, was in town yesterday. In Town Yesterday - W. H. Clark, of Plymouth, was in town yesterday. In Norfolk Wednesday Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wynne spent Wednesday in Norfolk. Returns From Norfolk Mrs. J. S. Getsinger returned Wednesday from Norfolk, where she went on Tuesday to carry her sister, Mrs. Durward Gurganus, and little daughter, Shirley, to their home aft er* a visit to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Brown, for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Gurganus have recent ly moved and are now at home on Colonial Avenue in Norfolk. In Town This Week C. D. Hogue, attorney for the Conestee Chemical Company, of Norfolk, was in town this week on business. Here From Speed J. K. Turner, of Speed, was here Wednesday attending to business. Rev. and Mrs. D. A. Petty and two Uttle sons, of Rocky Mount, ar rived today to make their home here. Rev. Petty is the new pastor of the Methodist Church, and they will be at home in the parsonage of the Methodist congregation. Twentieth Century Clab Meets With Mrs. Watts , • On Wednesday afternoon, Novem ber 6th, the Twentieth Century Club held its regular meeting with Mrs. J. W. Watts, jr., at her home in New Town. Mrs. J. S. Rhodes had the first pa per,. "Chamber Music and Opera," and Mrs. J. H. Saunders had a pa per on "Folk Songs and Ballads." These were very interesting, and Mrs. W. K.
