H. Saunders, who was hurt in an automobile wreck Saturday a week ago, is improving now. An X ray examination showed no bVoken bones but a torn ligament. The doc tor has suffered intense pain most of the time since his accident, but his friends are delighted to find him in much better condition now and im proving each day. v • Spending Holidays Here t Mrs. H. Regular Meeting oi Twentieth Century Club The Twentieth Century Club was entertained by Mrs. Wheeler Martin in its regular meeting on Wednesday afternoon at 3:45. Henry and other short story writers in North Carolina. There were nearly one hundred present and it was a veryi delightful occasion, when the mem bership gathered together for the ad vancement of the general program of the church. Mr. Edmund Harding, of Washington, was a special guest of' the auxiliary and he entertained with several selections on an accordion with piano attachments, vocal selec tions and jokes in his own charac-1 teristic manner. In many ways he added much to the success of the dinner. Judge Clayton Moore made a very appropriate speech on "What the Church Means to a Man." His re marks were very good and carried the WllXIAMttOh MOUTH CAROLINA significance of the purpose of the meting. The dinner was carried out in the reg ular Christmas style, the place cards and decorations bearing out the same idea. It was served by the Phila thea class of the Baptist Church.
