Tuesday Evening
At the Woman's Club on Tuesday
evening of this week Miss Cynthietta
Hardison entertained about twenty
five of her friends in celebration of
her twenty-second birthday. She was
the recipient of many lovely gifts on
the occasion. Bridge and\ dancing
were enjoyed during the evening and
n't was in every way a very success
ful party.
The hostess, assisted by little Miss
Nell Harrison and Oscar Anderson,
jr., and the chaperones for the eve
ning, Mrs. Wheeler Martin and Mrs.
H. B. Holloman, served ice cream,
fancy cakes, and punch.
Out-of-town guests were Miss Eu
nice Braziel, of Norfolk, house guest
of Miss Hardison, Miss Clyde and
Fenner Hardison and Miss Hilda Peal
of Farm Life, and Karl Hennett, of
Oak City.

ders, of Burgaw, N. C., announce the
marriage of their daughter, Rosa Key,
to Mr. Noah Reddick Rogerson, on
Monday, June 2.
Mr. and Mrs. Rogerson were mar
ried at the Methodist parsonage at
Greenville by the pastor of Jarvis
Memorial "'Methodist Church, Mon
day, immediately after the gradua
tion of Mrs. Rogerson at the East
Carolina Training School. Mr. Rog
erson is a member of the firm of A.
B, Rogerson and Bro., engaged in
the mercantile business and farming
at Bear Grass. Mrs. Rogerson is well
known in the county, where she
taught school for a year.
Both parties are popular and high
ly regarded among the people of Mar
tin and Pender Counties. They will
make their home in Bear Grass.
