The Philathea class of the Baptist
church held its regular business and
meeting last Friday evening
with Mrs. Lina Martin. The session
was opened by the president, a short
Scripture reading and prayer follow-'
ing.
There were eighteen members
present. The hostess, fallowing the
business session, served frozen fruit
salad, saltines and pickles.
Beginning next Thursday after
noon, Jhe xlass _will take charge .of
the golf course here. Children will
play from four until eight for ten
cents and adults, two rounds, for
a quarter.
The Philatheas will have charge of
the course each Thursday afternoon.

Last Saturday night at the home
of Mrs. Laura Martin, Miss Edith
Stallings entertained a few friends

the high-score prize for ladies and
