Principal Talks In Chapel
I • l
! MT: A I. Pollock," the Pririicpal of
Ijamesville High School, made a
splendid talk to the school children
Monday November 3. Mr._Pollock
gave figures concerning cheating in
North Carolina State College, which
he gained from slate papers. These
figures are a* follows: 21 per cent of
the Freshmen cheat; 58 per cent of
sophomores, 61 iht 1 cent of juniors
and 65 per cent of seniors. We stated
that students from the country have
the lowest record, the village next,
the small town and then the city.
After hearing this talk the students
,of the school resolved to establish a
better honor record than they had
i eyer had before.
Hallowe'en Party
A Halowe'en supper as given to
rrise funds with which to make the
last payment on the piano and paying
for some library books. S,upper was
served, beginning at 7:00 and conti- i
lining until 9:00. There was a fishing
pond for the small children who found j
much pleasure in fishing to see what,
they could catch. The older boys
aihl girls found much fun in having
there fortunes told by Mr. Cecil Tay
lot, The rest of the teachers assisted
in serving supper. After 9:00 o'clock!
the. people were called to the audi
torium to enjoy a free program given ,
by the teachers and students of the'
school. The group of witches had a
dancing contest, the second group
won, .the winners being as follows,
| Jack Martin, Margaret Ange, and Mel
ibit Martin. The prize was a large
box of candy.
