I As the guests arrived, they were greeted by Mrs. Frank, the guest of honor, and her mother, Mrs. Jackson; receiving with them were Mesdaines Claudius McGowan and Hob Kverettc, and Miss bifertrude Morton. Th" guests were niet at the stairs and ush ered into the boudoir to remove" their wraps by Mrs. J. 1., Hayes. Presiding at the punch bowl were Mesdaines 1.. W. (iurkin, 11. H. Alex ander, and K. K. Dunning. Punch was Iserved from the back hall, which was attractive with pink roses and ferns., The living and dining rooms were enhanced with myriads of pink snap dragons, roses, and asparagus ferns, i a color motif of pink and green he | iirg effectively carried out in a miu-> jute degree in both decoration and re freshments. II After several interesting progres sions, scores were added; Miss Eliza Hampton was awarded a pink crystal ice tub for high score, while Miss Ger trude Norton received a dainty cos tume necklace for second high score. The honored was presented a box of Imported powder. At the conclusion of the game, the hostess, assisted by Mesdames M. \V. Norman, H. H. Alexander, J. L. Hayes and Claudius McGowan, served a de lightful ice course, consisting of green and pink ice cream w.ith block cake covered with whipped cream and strawberries, mints, salted nuts, and marshmallows. Williams Chapel Home Club in Regular Meeting Mrs. Joseph Early and Mrs. Au gustus Perry were hostesses Thurs day, May 21st, to a very enjoyable meeting of the Williams Chapel club. Responding to roll call, the club women reported what they had done in gardening and the clothing proj ect since the last meeting. During the business session, the news leader called on different club members to report on a number of meetings that a limited number of them had recently attended. Miss Christine Piland and Mrs. Julian Mizelle gave interesting ac counts of the district federation meet I , • ing at Greenville, As no member of the club went, Miss Sleeper gave a very interesting account of the trip to Currituck.
