Cox, a former auto salesman of
the Cox Motor Company here, con- j
tinues in the Edgecombe County jail j
in default of bond required following
an automobile accident in 1 arboro on
Monday evening of last week. Louis j
Phipps, white man, was killed by Coxs
as lie was working on a truck in
front of his home.

Cox hadhad several violent attacks of j
kidney colic for a few days just prior j
to the accident. He says he suffered
a violent attack on the road near Co

there he continued on to Mildred,
