Greenville Men Present
Trophy to Basketball
Team Wednesday
Mr. Rose, superintendent of Green
ville City schools, and Mr. Hewlettc,
athletic coach, attended chapel exer
cises Wednesday for the purpose of
presenting a trophy to the James
ville Girls' basketball team, which
won a recent tournament in Green
ville.
Mr. Martin, girls' coach, had charge
ui the program Mr. Hewlette 3Kaa1
introduced by Mr. Uzzle and spoke
briefly concerning the good sports
manship and fair play that were evi
denced by Jamesville teams through
out the tournament. He also said
that without a doubt Jamesville had
the winning team of the tournament.
Mr. Rose then made a very inter
esting talk emphasizing the qualities
of a winner. He also stated that if
anv one wanted to do a thing hard
enough and long enough that he
could do it.
At the conclusion of his talk, Mr.
Rose presented the trophy to Lou-j
ise Martin, captain of the girl's team,
who in turn gave it to Mr. Pollock,1
who received it in behalf of the lo-1
cal school. ??
The girls have maintained an un
defeated record throughout the entire
season. The team is composed of the .
following: Elouise Perry, Louise Mar- j
tin,?Viola?Manning, Mildred Smith.
Beulah M. Hardison, Mary Elizabeth
Brown, Mavenne Davis, Sc-lma Ange,
Edna Gray Carson, and Marjorie
Brown.
Recently the lunch, room has been
equipped with new tables, covers, cups

service at the Easter Sunday morning

'the Sunday school sessions at 9:45.
In the evening this congregation,
'assembles again at 7:30 o'clock, with
the public in general, in this church,
to hear the Choral Club's rendition
of their prepared special Easter mu-'
sic.

Easter Sunrise Service
At Christian Church!
There will be an Easter sunrise
prayer service at the Christian church
Sunday morning at 6 o'clock. The
public is cordially invited to attend
and engage in this sacred service. i

pupil. Eighty of these lunches pre
