Manning were joint hostesses last Tuesday evening in the home of Mrs Everett in New Town at a miscel laneous shower for Mrs. F. M. Barnes tecent bride. The dining and living roooms were beautifully decorated with jonquils and other spring flow-1 ers, offering a pleasing setting for seven tables of bridge. ? Following five progressions of the game, high score prize was awarded Mrs. David N. Hix, second high-score prize go- j ing to Miss Annie Shields VanDyke. Mrs. Francis Barnes, Mrs. David k. Davis, Mrs. William H Carstar phen, and Mrs. Frederick W. Hoyt, all recent brides, were presented with attractive gifts. Ice cream and cake were served, and miniature corsages were given the brides. Aurora Farmers Ship Car Hogs Last Week Beaufort County farmers shipped a : car of hogs from Aurora last week toj make the first such cooperative sale i since 1932.
