We realize exactly the thing* we reach out for despite the disappointment that cast deep shad ows over life Cotton Mills Do Not State the Facts The cotton mills do not slate the facts, according to the findings of the Institute of I'acifit Relations The American mills seem u> want the vmerican gov ernment to remove the cotton processing tax-and raise the tariff on foreign cotton goods. The mill owner claim that the tax is ruining America's foreign trade, which statement is false according to the findings of the institute." The claim advanced by the cotton mills will cut the price of the farmer's cotton about one-third in value, and give the American factory a world monopoly, j Foreign countries can't buy our cotton unless they can sell their manufactured goods. And if we bar them by a tariff higher than tlie presint one, the \merican cotton lartner will offer and the American people will not lie able to buy goods any cheaper. We are unwilling to see tlte producer of raw ma terials grow |)oorer ilay by day. and the user of the manufactured product grow |>oorer in every way while the manufacturer -luffs his coffers to over flowing Greed Rampant % The lions always eat the lambs because they are more greedy and more powerful. The very same principle applies to men and na tions, except that the spirit of many is much meaner than that of the lion. Men have the gift of enlightenment, which should produce truth and honor, which, in turn, should tie a protection to a weaker brother. Today we see China, in its weakness, being slaugh tered and torn by the small, avaricious, greedy nation of Japan. Italy is trying to take Kthiopia through the same spirit of greed. China has the oldest, and |>erhaps the safest and fairest government of tjny nation 011 earth. It is cer tainly more free of avarice*and greed than any of the other nations of the world. It wants no war, but |H-ate If Japan finally takes, all China, it will be made, a nation of slavvs-wwking to support a great lighting unit for Japan. The same thing will apply In I iliiopia. With a few big nations of slaves to sup I~-rt her. Italy will al once attempt to be master of the world, just as ancient Rome was. ?? We certainly need some kind of a system to cut the profits out of war. When we get that, war will be no mute. NOTICE TO CREDITORS Hiving ?|i-ial:Itt-t! ;?> \.lnuui-tiatoi f '| \ ?ri tin- estate . ?!
