Wo had retired for the night and tried vainly to fall asleep as the children had done previously. A Hash of lightning stabbed the darkness and thunder rolled in the distance. The storm swept closer and soon was overhead. Amid the crash of thunder I heard a small voice. Daddy, hold my hand.' 1 pulled the cot dose to me and held his little hand and soon, even amid the thunder's noise and the light ning's flash his little eyes closed again and were fast in sleep." All mothers and fathers have had the above experience. At some time or another when we, too, were small, we felt the need of holding mother's hand or daddy's hand. How consoling and comforting the touch of their hands was. How happy and courageous it made us feel. 1 am just wondering if we parents are as quick to meet the needs of our children today, by holding their hands and guid ing thein safely through their periods of dauger, as parents used to be? At heart our chil dren are jusl like all other chil dren. Then are times when they want us to hold their hands There are tines w hen they need for us to hold their hands. They need us to hold their hands in their play, in their study, in their work, and in their wor ship. Make your children happy Sunday morning by taking them by the hand and walking with them to Sunday school and to Church. PUTNAM DYES AND TINTS? Big assortment to select from. P. P.
