Set Sweet Potato Plants
At Least 12 Inches Apart
Sweet potato plants should be
spaced 12 inches apart in rows from
three to three and one-half feet a
part. This planting reduces the
number of "Jumboes" and also
reduces the losses from stem rot.
Where the crop is to be harvested
for the early market the plantings
should be made at least 18 inches
auart in three foot rows. Plantings
sfould be made on high ridge's, if
possible, as better stands are se
cured than when planted in low
places.

IN MEMORIAM
A Mother's Day tribute to our
. E. R.
mother, Mrs. E. R. Edmondson, who
left us the ttnd day of February.
Dearest mother, we laid you
In the peaceful grave's embrace;
But your memory will be cherished
Until we see your heavenly face.
The golden gates were opened.
A gentle voice said. '"Come."
And with farewells unspoken.
You calmly entered home.
How we miss you, darling mother,
No one but God can tell;
We miss your dear sweet voice.
Your smiling face as well.
We miss you in our home.
We miss your gentle care.
We miss you at the chuhch,
We miss you everywhere.
We no more shall hear your foot
steps.
Nor wili you meet us at the door.
You have gone away and left us.
Never to return a'more.
They say time heals a broken heart,
But, oh, it seems untrue;
There is not a day. dear mother,
That we do not think of you.
You were so good and patient,
So loving, kind and true,
You were so fond of your grand
children,
P. C? Elmer Jr., and Baby Sue.
Our dear father is sad and lonely,
Since you have gone away,
We try to cheer and comfort him,
Be he misses you more each day
When the Saviour is ready
To end his sorrows here.
You will be waiting in that "Beau
tiful Home''
To bid him welcome there
