Rotenone Dust Will Kill Mexican Beetle Rotenone dust is not poisonous to human beings, but it is deadly to Mexican bean beetles, according to C H. Brannon, extension entomolo gist at State College. It is also a good insecticide for controlling the Harlequin bug (Are bug, terrapin bug) on cabbage, col lards, turnips, and the like, he add ed, and it will eradicate cabbage worms. Rotenone, which is obtained from both derris and cube root, may be purchased from dealers all over the state, Brannon pointed out. The pure dust is unusually strong he continued, so it is diluted with talc. For bean beetles and other such insect pests, the mixture should contain 3-4 of 1 per cent rotenone. Rotenone may be sprayed on the garden plants, but it does not give as good results as when dusted on. The ready prepared rotenone-talc mixture is not suitable for use as a spray, Brannon warned. When making a spray, ground derris or cube root should be dis solved ill water at teh rate of 1 1-2 pounds of dust to SO gallons of wa ter. the highest bider, (or cash, to satis-1 fy said execution, all the right, title and interest which the said Amilis sa Cheery, the defendant, has in the following described real estate, to wit: A one-fourth undivided interest in and to that pertain lot of land in the Town of Williamston and bound ed on the north by the lands of S.
