Cold Weather Has
Effect on Fishing
Starting the season last week with
the largest catches on record for
the season of the year, the fisheries
at Jamesville and in the lower Roa
| r.oke were reporting smaller catches
today Hauls, netting more than
5,000 fish yesterday, brought in less
than 2,000 today
The cold spell experienced in this
;m rhon?last night and early today
is said to have affected the size
the catches.
Fishery operators are still hope
ful that the current season will be
a successful one, however. PeaTT
catches are expected possibly some
time during the coming week or the
week following
A ready market is awaiting the I
catches as fast as they are taken. I
