Benefit Supper

Is Being Transferred
R. Leslie Smith, for several years
district accountant for the V.E.P.
Co., with headquarters here, is be
ing transferred to Williamsburg, Va.,
effective June 23, it was announced
today. He will be succeeded by
George Thorpe, of Richmond.

Mr and Mrs. C. S. Coats, former
ly of Williamston. announce the
birth of a daughter, Judith Ann, on
June 9th, at their home in Ports
mouth, Ohio, where Mr. Coats is a I
special investigator for the Federal
Government.
Suffering a Relapse
Mrs. J. D. Thrower, suffering a re
lapse from a recent illness, plans "to
enter a Durham hospital this week
end for treatment.
