Recipe for getting Extrti^*?
Action out of thin air
IT'S a cincli to build an automobile
engine that's either one thing or
another.
You can go in for power ? if you don't
mind the gas consumption ? or you can
shoot for economy if stirring action
doesn't matter.
What's tough is building a car with
two good ideas under its bonnet - like
this Buick FlRt liAj ! straight-eight with
Compound Carburetion.f
One idea is that it doesn't make sense
to use a big, gas-gulping earhuretor for
your easy-going travel when you need
only a little one.
The other is that you might as well have
plenty-power on call when you can
get it practically out of thin air)
So this Buick has two smaller car
fAvailablr at ?light extra ro?t on Rule It Sfi
standard on all other Series.
burctors instead of a single middling
size lo big one.
One of (licin frugally bundles all your
low-power, round-the-loyvn trrtvel.
The other swings in uny time you press
down the gas treadle ? and gives more
lift and wallop ? hy increasing the
supply nf air!
Results include; More horsepower -
and gas economy running as high as
10% to 15% above previous Huicks,
according to owners.
InlcrestingP Then better get prices
and see how little it
costs to get this ex
tra action ? plus
extra room, extra
size, extra comfort
and extra style.
