Guests were greeted at the door
and introduced to the receiving line
composed of Miss Critcher, Miss Har
rison, Mrs. Harrison, the honoree's
mother, and Miss Kathleen Price,
bride-elect. Miss Julia Everett pre
sided over the punch table and Miss
Polly Dewey passed tallies.
Mixed flowers were used effect
ively in the living room and hall
with emphasis on the living room
mantel which was outlined with ivy
and centered with a miniature bride
and groom. Mr. Ben Manning ren
dered piano music while the guests
were served an ice cream course in
the colors of green and white.
Miss Harrison was presented crys
tal and received many lovely gifts
from the guests. Miss Marion Pen
der captured high score and Miss
Julia Everett, low score. Miss Price
was given fostoria.

Bingo Party-Shower
Mrs. James Bullock was hostess at
a bingo party and crystal shower on
Tuesday night, complimentary to
Miss Kathleen Price, bride-elect of
tomorrow. Prizes were awarded to
winners and Miss Price received
many lovely gifts of crystal.
Mrs. Bullock served lemonade,
sandwiches, nuts and mints.

LEGION AUXILIARY MEETS
The American Legion Auxiliary
met Saturday afternoon in the Le
gion Hut for the regular meeting.
After pledging allegiance to the
Hag, and reading the preamble, the
mihutcs of the dast meeting?yvijie
read and approved.
At the close of a short business
period, a report was given by the
delegate who attended the State
convention in Durham. The music
scrap book, and Naval Print plate,
won by this unit, were on display.
The State flag and scrap book made
by the juniors were also 011 display.
A silver cup was awarded the jun
101 auxiliary for doing the most out
standing work of the newly organ
ized groups.
The meeting adjourned to meet the
second Saturday in September.
