The marriage of Miss Julia Craw
ford Watts, former Williamston girl,
to William Monroe Ashemore, III,
was announced last week. The young
couple some time ago planned to be
married in the Presbyterian Church
in Williams ton, but Army plans came
first and altered theirs.
The following announcement was
carried in the Huntington, W. Va.,
paper, the columnist adding a per
sonal note.
Mrs. Maurice Dunston Watts, of
455 Fifth Avenue has made known
the marriage of her daughter, Miss
Julia Crawford Watts, to Mr. Wil
liam Monroe Ashmore III who be
came a lieutenant in the U. S. Air
Corps oh last Friday. The wedding
of this popular young couple took

Mo. They were attended by Miss
Helen Kauffman, of Columbus, O..
and Mr. Dalton Dean, of Cincinnati.
Mrs. Ashmore is an important
member of Huntington's younger so
ciety set and is very popular. She

school and attended Marshall Col
lege.
