LEGION AUXILIARY MEETS
The American Legion Auxiliary
met in Hamilton Saturday. Decem
ber 13th, in the home of Mrs. W J.
Beach. Mrs. H. L. Harris and Mrs
Beach were joint hostesses for the
occasion.
The Auxiliary was honored with
the presence of a Gold Star Mother,
Mrs. Annie E. Savage.
After the preamble was read and
the minutes were approved the
meeting was turned Into a business
session. The Auxiliary voted to
spend $17.00 for child welfare dur
ing the Christmas holidays It also
voted to contribute f;v/npw one dol
lar bills to patients at the Veterans
hospitals at Oteen and Fayetteville
for Christmas gifts.
All members of the Auxiliary were
urged to cooperate with the Red
Cross in serving our country during
the war.
After a very interesting Christmas
story by Mrs. W. H Gray, the hos
tesses served a delightful sweet
course carrying out the idea of
Christmas.
The next meeting will be held in
Williamston with Mrs. Hugh Horton
and Mrs. R. J. Peel.
